I heard it wasn't a piece of shit, which is nice.

Rolling Stone gave it a 3.5/4. I look at Rolling Stone just to see if the movie is worth seeing or not. I do actually end up agreeing with what they say, cause I read the article after I see it.

Actually Neil Blomkamp directed it. It's his first film.

My theory is this is what Jackson and Blomkamp are doing to show studios they can make a successful Halo film and regain financial backing. Also, I'm never wrong.

They supposedly came in peace looking for a place to stay. But the humans took advantage of that and locked them up and used them for weapon purposes. There was a riot at the facility and they all broke loose. The other humans that were sent in to take care of the situation had no idea what was happening to them so yeah.

They did it because they couldn't do Halo. They kind of took the alien theme and ran with it. So you are right and half-right.

Trust me, if this makes enough money they will be doing Halo. That being said, I don't think it's gonna be a HUGE blockbuster (250+ Mil), I haven't seen it yet though.

Just saw the movie last night. I really liked it. Great characters, interesting plot, and lots of action. :]

Watched that like 2 years ago when they first announced blomkamp as halo director. I thought it was amazing.
