when you sent it away to get worked on, depending on what the tech did, they may have wiped your password in order to fix shit. What's the name of your User Account on your PC? try that as your password

Trying to crack my own password now using a linux boot disc and i must've made it pretty damn hard because this shit is taking forever.

Well... there is a hidden admin account in vista. You have to log in to an admin account to enable it.

press ctrl + alt + delete when you are at the page where you select an account, it should bring up the login for the admin account, the name is usually admin or administrator, and there is no password

Password: admin

or

Log on name: admin
Password: password

those are 2 common ones for an admin log in.
if they dont work i would consult boom or skunk they are both pretty knowledgeable with computers

it has administrative privileges.

And of course ive tried all the easy admin passes. Since the cracker couldn't pick it up, i either typed something really stupid in leet speak as my password and just don't remember it (which is rough to believe) or they set it as nDic!i#$Kjj@#
